Property Photography in Stockport

Does this house take your fancy?

Contact Woodhall Properties estate agents to view 73 Garners Lane in Stockport, South Manchester. John and his wonderful agency team kindly entrusted me to produce their commercial marketing for most of the properties they bring to market. Let’s take a quick look at a typical residential home instruction below.

This Victorian red brick three-bedroom semi detached property boasts a wealth of character features to it’s interior which really add value. Above we can see the cast iron fireplace, cast iron radiator, ceiling cornicing and stained glass window panels all in keeping with the age of the property.

It’s likely that, whilst in keeping with the age of the property, all of these features were but back in by the present or recent owners. Certainly that is true of windows. It goes to show you can add value to your home by thinking beyond just wall colours and what furniture you throw in a room.

A very modern colourway in the bedroom above creates a striking juxtaposition with the old Victorian features and fireplace. It goes to show that adding or working with old or antique features can actually complement a contemporary living space.

A former fireplace now makes a good frame for the headboard of the bed in this bedroom. It works well, although I’d prefer to see the fireplace reinstated for better feng shui.

A sunny day in summer really helps to sell exterior property photos, and this example is no exception! The red back door adds some attractive colour contrast.

An artistic close up photo or two is often a good addition to help your prospective buyer focus in on lifestyle elements your home offers that might be overlooked from a wide angle photo.

Kitchen interior complete with a green view to the beautiful garden. Does your property photographer know how to master natural contrast and window pulls?

In the lounge, above the cornice and coving to the ceiling and upper walls is a typically Victorian feature. It adds a classic design flair and helps to make the room’s plasterwork look finished. The Victorians saw the psychological advantage of living spaces with more headroom, but with that comes large bland wall surfaces. A cornice to the wall helps to break up the big, plain surfaces to add visual appeal.

It’s nice to see a surviving oak bannister with lots of detail and character. Whilst the front door isn’t original, adding ‘stained glass effect’ details to the windows adds to the character, in keeping with the period property.

This is just one of the many stunning sets of photos produced for Woodhall Properties every month. If you need a great property photographer for your estate agency or just some beautiful house photos for your Airbnb holiday home then get in touch today!

I also produce cinematic video tours of both commercial and residential property, find out more about my property videos.
